A building is an investment. Managing it is capital allocation.

Rent, tenant selection, repairs, reserves, renovations, refinancing, and the timing of an exit all come down to the quality of the questions being asked. A property manager who never challenges the plan is not protecting the investment — they are just processing work orders.

Real estate is not separate from the rest of investing. Stocks and crypto move faster; buildings move slower. But the principles are the same: capital has a cost, risk has to be priced, cash flow matters, and every asset competes for the next dollar. Understanding how money moves across markets makes us better property managers because we never look at a building in isolation.

That is the connection.
